Externally mounted, the Setup.exe3 creates the ideal workspace to place a laptop on or configure a switch. This installation wizard is a cost and labor saving third hand. Not only do you now need just one technician, but the job is going to be done way faster. Our Setup.exe3 is mounted in seconds making the installation of rack and cabinet equipment easier and faster than ever.

Multipurpose Installation Tool

The Setup.exe3 can be mounted facing inwards of the 19″ rack to easily guide the switch into the network rack. This new version is compatible with both square punched and threaded holes! When mounted facing outwards of the cabinet the rubberized side on top acts as a shelf to hold your laptop or other diagnostic devices, giving you an additional workspace. Holes in the side of the Setup.exe3 can be used to carry important tools and mount velcro, cable ties, and spare cage nuts.

Very well built and thought out tool. Have used this on different racks with cage nuts and tapped holes. The tool is adjustable to work with varying thickness rails. Needs 1 U spacing to fit.
The tool needs the rail drilled and tapped so the alternate spring pins can be stored on the tool. Also a case would be nice.

Amazing concept, especially the reversible idea to hold a laptop. However the engineering needs more work. Will not fit some thicker rack rails at all, won't slide on. On those it does fit, one side slides in and locks but the 2nd side the angle is off and it will not slide in far enough for the pin to seat. Square holes it works fine but NOT with cage nuts installed. They must be removed at the U where the tool is inserted. And it is over priced vs other similar items.

Used it a few times so far and it’s made every install easy! Let’s a single man struggling to do a two man job alone do the work safely and quickly.

No more tying to balance a switch in one hand, hoping the cage nuts don’t pop out whilst bending an a rack ear.

Biggest issue, and why it doesn’t get 5 stars: requires some tools (a spanner) to adjust the rack ears and no where to store the alternative pins. They could have easily made a threaded hole on the arms to store the extra pins.
